Sun, 16 July 2006 It's so easy to play
games with God. In the 5th chapter of Acts two people tried it and
died. That' a difficult story to read, and even harder to understand. Why
would God do such a thing? Why is it written for us to read? Are we really
ready to get honest with God? See Acts5:1-11. Comments[0] |
Sun, 16 July 2006 The Lord's people in
both the first and twenty-first century, are ALIVE when they open themselves to
experience the LIFE of Jesus. This message highlights some of the aspects of
this LIFE in a problem solving situation. See Acts 6:1-8 Comments[0] |
Sun, 9 July 2006 What kind of emotions are stirred up in you when you realize someone has lied to you? How do you think God feels when He is lied to? Consider that "lies" are deadly choices. In Acts 5, Ananias and Saphira lost theri lives as a result of lying to the Holy Spirit. Everytime we lie, something inside of us dies. And everytime we tell the truth, we are renewed by God's Spirit. See Acts 5:1-11; 27-42 Comments[0] |
Sun, 2 July 2006 The resurrection of
Jesus Christ results in true freedom for all those who open their lives to him.
This good news was shared though many religious authorities opposed it. People
who are truly freed will not be conformed to the values and mores of the
prevailing culture, but will be renewed through the presence of
Christ. See Acts 4:1-31. Comments[0] |
Sun, 2 July 2006 Every year Americans
celebrate their freedom on July 4th, and we are thankful for our
freedom. But what does it really mean to be free? In this message we look to
two guys in prison to teach us not only what true freedom is, but also how to
live it. See Acts 4:19-20. Comments[0] |
